About

Gottlob is a German word that expresses joy or relief and happens to be our surname.

Since 2002, my mum Barbara has been creating unique pieces of jewellery in her studio in Cologne Lindenthal. In 2024, I founded Gottlob World, creating my own version of the family’s business while still focussing on her principles of quality, craftsmanship, humour and joy. 

We believe that jewellery isn’t meant to set us apart from others, but to bring us closer together. Gottlob jewellery is designed to be a lucky charm, a comforting companion to wear on any occasion, and something to share and wish for others. We think of luck as a perception, a positive attitude towards everyday life that one can find in the smallest of things.

We aim at making this tangible and to convey a feeling of serendipity, of something falling just into the right place. This idea is reflected in our process of developing the most beautiful things through spontaneous discoveries, and the brand is increasingly becoming a playground where we regularly invite artists and creatives to share their take on luck.

All Editions are made by hand in our family atelier in Cologne, Germany.
