We asked London-based furniture designer Dean Edmonds to collaborate with Gottlob World on a collection of chains.
Deans acclaimed furniture works are mostly individual custom pieces created for a specific occasion but without a preconceived concept. Oftentimes upcycling and using industrial material, his practice is coined by the commitment to making. By immersing himself into an open process it is the discoveries made along the way, the coincidence, the interaction and the receptivity for the rough treasures determining the result.
With an obsession for detail rather than absolute form Dean created little perfect works of art out of discarded materials and diverse contexts giving them an unexpected and exquisite second life. Their notion of serendipity and storytelling makes these eclectic jewellery-pieces unreproducible.
